Canadian-born, lover of winter days, even though I really disliked the cold my entire childhood. Now my husband, daughter and I live in the South West of France, where the sun shines with all its might.

I scribble all sorts of silly things, stories and drawings, for my tiny toddler (who is currently trying to climb into my lap to take over the telling of this little story).

I've been painting and making art since I was a little kidlet, and I'm happiest when I'm making something. As long as I'm creating, life makes sense.

Music has always been part of that too. I've been writing songs for 20+ years and have released three albums, but it wasn't until my daughter came along that I realised the rhythm of a good song and the rhythm of a good picture book aren't so different. Bringing pictures and words together is where it all clicks, and I'm so glad I found my way to the author-illustrator path.

I like to focus on marvellously domestic moments, with a bit of whimsy woven in, though I'm just as happy wandering outdoors wherever there's fun to be found.

I graduated some years ago from Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a BFA and a minor in Art + Text, a rather handy minor looking back (well done, past me). Along the way, I picked up a diploma in graphic design and a Singer-Songwriter Certificate from Berklee College of Music.

I'm currently seeking representation for my first picture book, with more stories on the way. And that's where we are. Happy chappy to be here, and even happier that you're here too.
